A new report by Toshiba, on the future of technology, presents forecasts for the innovative ways in which our lives will change in the coming years due to new technologies and innovations.
Working in collaboration with London futurologist Dr Ian Pearson (known specialist in the field of monitoring and forecasting of future development of the wide range of technologies), Toshiba reveals what are these innovations in the coming 5, 10 and 20 years:
By 2020, self-steered cars will start appearing on our roads. Instead of driving, owners can use the travel time to work or rest, just as passengers on public transport. Many will take advantage of this extra time to work to leave home later and office earlier.
Also, by 2020 the displays will be significantly cheaper than today, a number of additional displays will appear in various places throughout the home, office and car.
